Mediator Profiles

Rebecca began her career in 1990 in the martial division of the Rockingham County Superior Court, assisting both attorneys and divorce litigants in navigating the divorce process. Twenty-one years ago she became part of the Blanchette legal team. Rebecca has the experience of having worked with all participants in the divorce process, including Court staff, on both sides of “the counter.” Rebecca was honored with the Paralegal Professionalism Award from the New Hampshire Bar Association in 1998.

Rebecca received her Mediation Training from Roundtable Mediation. Her internship was supervised by a Certified Family Mediator who is also a practicing therapist, focusing on children’s issues. She became a Certified Family Mediator in 2005. She is a member of the New Hampshire Conflict Resolution Association, and the Family Law Section of the New Hampshire Bar Association.

As a Court Appointed Mediator, Rebecca practices in both Rockingham and Strafford Counties. She is often assigned high conflict cases and has travelled to other Courts outside of the counties where she practices at the specific request of the Court.

In a 2014 letter from The Office of Mediation and Arbitration Rebecca received comments from surveys completed by both court staff and judicial officers. Those included:

  • Familiar with all aspects of the Family Division
  • Paperwork always complete, accurate and timely
  • Both judicial officers and court staff have great confidence in her capabilities as a mediator

Mediation participants commented that Rebecca:

  • Is calm and maintains a controlled mediation environment
  • Encourages parties to communicate effectively
  • Listens well and explains things thoroughly.
